Simpson’s Rule

Simpson’s Rule

The Simpson’s Rule is a method used to approximate definite integrals. Like the Trapezoidal Method approximates the section between two nodes using a linear approximation, the Simpson’s rule approximates the curve using piecewise quadratic functions. In this lesson, we will derive the formula for Simpson’s rule and use it for some examples.
